Carl Gedler Cello

Carl Gedler, Heidelberg — label

Price Upon Request

A distinctive cello bearing a Carl Gedler label referencing Heidelberg. The instrument features a rich golden-amber varnish with warm reddish-brown undertones, beautifully complemented by its traditionally shaped body and attractive wood grain. Its two-piece maple back displays pronounced horizontal figuring, with a warm, polished finish that enhances the natural character of the wood. The sides exhibit attractive grain patterns, while the front presents a warm amber-brown appearance, elegantly shaped f-holes, and traditional dark fittings. The combination of graceful proportions, rich coloring, and figured wood gives this cello a refined visual presentation. The identification is based on the interior label. The maker, date, manufacturing location, and provenance have not been independently verified.
